Hello

Based in Essex, we are a multi dog and multi pet household of two Doberman bitches - Mila (rescue) and Storm, with a special mention for our huge boy Vader (a Doberman X GSD) who we lost in 2023. We have two cats - Delta and Blue...you could say it was interesting integrating them into our home! We have two children aged 7 and 1 so are firm believers in a loving, but well structured home where all are advocated for.

 

We believe strongly that every dog can be homed and trained effectively if sufficient commitment levels are applied. We must first understand the dog in front of us and the breed type along with the life style that you lead, only then can we set realistic hopes and expectations.

 

At Thek9pack we believe in a multifaceted approach...we will always start with reward based training, but will consider all four types of operant conditioning to change unwanted behaviours: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment and negative punishment. These are dog/owner dependant and will be discussed during the session. We will focus heavily on your relationship and communication between yourself and your dog through engagement and play. This is vital to success, without this you could have the most obedient dog at home that the world has seen but it won't hold up in a highly distracting environment. We aim to teach the owners how to be calm, clear and assertive in their communication and leadership balanced with being the most fun, fair and interesting thing to your dog when outside in real life scenarios.
